Welcome to McIntosh Designer Gems!

This shop is a passion project run by Nick McIntosh - I run the whole operation. I've been cutting gemstone jewelry since I was in middle school. Now that I'm in college, I decided I'd combine my unique gemcutting abilities with the business skills I learn in class.

Gems and minerals are so incredibly fascinating, and it's my belief that everybody deserves to get their hands on real, genuine gemstones.

It's the mission of McIntosh Designer Gems to put genuine, 100% natural gemstones into your hands. Here, you'll see an alternative to the mass-made, corporate manufactured jewelry that you see everywhere else.

FAQ

Q:Where do I source my raw materials?

A:I get my rough gemcutting material from various gem shows over the course of the year - though, I get the majority of my material from Quartzsite, one of the bigger shows, held annually in Arizona.

Q:Who does what?

A: I, Nick McIntosh, wear all the hats in the business (with my girlfriend occasionally shooting pictures for me).

Q:How do personalized orders work?

A:If you want a personal touch to your jewelry, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. The best place to reach is in my Instagram DMs - my account is @mcintoshdesignergems. You can also email me at [email protected]. More often than not, I can help you get a custom jewelry piece. Though, custom pieces take slightly longer than the usual made to order listings, so keep that in mind.

Q:How much does shipping cost?

A:For all jewelry, shipping is FREE! Though, for minerals, spheres, and other items shipping is calculated by my site and usually turns out around $5-$10 within the United States and the price goes up depending on how far outside the states you are.

Q:Do you do bulk/wholesale orders?

A:I can cut jewelry for wholesale prices as long as you're requesting them in large volume - at least 50 pieces of jewelry.

Q:When did you start?

A:I've been cutting rocks ever since middle school - now I'm 20, so I have a good amount of experience.

Q:How do returns work?

A:From my terms & conditions: "In order to return or exchange your purchase, you need to do so within 30 days of purchase. The product must be received by us in the same condition that you received it in. Original tags, box, unworn, undamaged and able to be resold. Request your return or exchange through our support desk. Upon your return being approved, we will assign you an RMA number. We do not accept returns without this number. Your money will be refunded by the same method you paid for it. This may take between 5 and 10 business days, depending on your payment method. We want you to be happy with your purchase, which is why we accept returns that are in the same condition as when shipped. We do not issue refunds or accept returns or exchanges on special items (e.g., Vintage, Sample, ID, Custom, Defect, Pre-Release) or any used items. Contact us through our support desk and request an RMA before you return your items. We do not accept returns without an assigned RMA number."
